2nd place finish for North71 in Fragleague

North71 finishes 2nd in the Norwegian regional league, just 2 points behind Team Arctic White.

Going into the final North71 was on top of the table, but with only 45 points differents from 1st to 10th nothing was settled. After 3 played games North71 still had the lead by 8 points over Endzone and the others just behind.

In the final game North71 got wiped with only two points, and with Team Arctic White getting the 30 point game they placed just 2 points in front of us.

Thanks to Fragleague and Fragbite for hosting the tournament, and to all the teams for competing.

Skiben wins the North71 Challenge

The first ever North71 Challenge is completed, and Skiben is the winner.

The first task

TriggermanTV was the first streamer to complete a task, with a nice squad wipe as he claimed the "Wipe a 3 man squad in under two minutes". Just a few minutes later, MagicSidd claims his first task by running over a player with his truck.

Some great games where played

Close race in the end

With the timer closing in it was clear that MagicSidd had to get 3 tasks done just to tie with Skiben. In his last game he managed to finish a bingo row, but was short 3 tasks of Skibens 12. Skiben claimed the victroy with 12 tasks completed.

Next Challenge

In the afterparty of the challenge, Geir "Godwave" Innvær annouced that the next challenge was allready in the making and that it is going to be "Battle Royale Frenzy"

MagicSidd Joins N71 as streamer

It is time to announce our second addition to the Streamer Program, MagicSidd

We wanted MagicSidd for N71

It is time to welcome our second edition to the Streamer Program. We first discovered MagicSidd through him hosting «Call of Duty: Modern Warfare» tournaments and immediately saw potential. After colaberating with Skiben in some streams we noticed his dedication to streaming and he was considered a perfect match for N71 and our other streamers.

Who is MagicSidd?

My name is Kristian aka MagicSidd and I am 34 y/o. I'm from Sandefjord but have been living in Kristiansand for ten years. I work as a store manager for a big outlet in Kristiansand and have been doing so since I was 17. I started gaming when I was a little kid, and just like so many others I started with «Mario Kart». In 2002 I tried Call of Duty 2 and ever since that day I have been hooked on FPS games.

In 2019 I started streaming on Twitch.tv as MagicSidd. Since I was already playing games every day I decide to share my experiences with others and I haven't had a single regret. The greatest part of streaming for me must be all the great people stopping by and that i get to share my passion for video games.

I usually play «Call of Duty» but I'm not afraid to jump into other games and genres. I have also been hosting tournaments in «COD Warzone» and will keep doing so.

N71 and I share the same goals and dreams and therefore when Godwave reached out I decided this was my next step. I am looking forward to being part of a society and believe this can bring all parts closer to our dreams. - MagicSidd

SKIBEN - The start of a new chapter

We are happy to announce Skiben as our new streamer!

The beginning

Since the early days of North71, we have strived to engage in the gaming community in every way possible. The TSA gaming community (to be N71) started off as Godwaves stream followers and friends with a base on a discord channel, this was before streamers and esports. Since then we have established a name in the Norwegian PUBG community and our streamer KippenBro reached a partnership on twitch.

This brings us to our next step.

We are opening a streamer program with the goal to provide a platform for streamers to grow. Skiben is the first streamer and will be the "poster boy" for our campaign. Skiben has been streaming on Twitch for 8th months and has grown as a streamer throughout this time. It is now time for a new chapter and that is joining the North71 family.  "I believe in North71's vision when it comes to streaming and esport, and I am looking forward to be working together to reach new heights" - Skiben

Who is Skiben?

My name is Iben aka Skiben on twitch. I have the mindset of a 20-year-old but trapped in a 28-year-old body. I come from a small town in Norway named Etne and work as an energy fitter. I have played games for as long as I can remember and my first games were probably «This Is Soccer» and «Colin Mcrea Rally». I've always had an extra place in my heart for FPS and survival games but since I started streaming I have become a "Variety streamer" which means I play everything that's popular and I like at that time. The reason I decided to team up with N71 is that we share the same ambitions, attitude, and love for both esports and streaming. - Skiben

Future

With the launch of our new "Streamer Program" we are looking for streamers that are dedicated and want to succeed in the streaming world. If this is you contact us!

Top 10 placement for Kippenbro in Escape From Tarkov tourney

Great performance from our streamer Kippenbro in this weekends Escape From Tarkov Tournament hosted by Twitch streamer Pestily.

With huge names in the Tarkov and streaming community on the list of contestants it was set to become an exciting event, and indeed it was. With great casting from Pestily and fellow content creators Dan Gheesling and Al Smizzle the tournament became a great success.

And a great success it was for North71 streamer Kippenbro aswell, who got his well deserved screentime. In the linked clip Kippen tosses a nade that kills the opponent and certainly impresses the hosts of the tournament.

If u want to watch the VODs from the tournament check out Pestilys Twitch channel videos:

We are looking to expanding to other titles

Are you looking to represent something bigger?

North71 was founded in 2017 by «Godwave» and has since then become a well know organization in the Norwegian PUBG community. We are currently housing two teams in PUBG and one partnered streamer.

We are now looking to expand our community, with the launch of our new website North71.gg we feel like this is the right time.

We are interested in already established teams with the will to grind and improve.

North71 will provide a platform for players and teams to improve and reach their potential. We focus on professionalism and structure to optimize the learning and improvement of the teams. We believe that the work done out of game is just as important as the game itself and therefore we use lots of our time analyzing games and working on mentality and team communication.

Games we are looking to expand into:

- Rainbow Six Siege

- Rocket League

- Valorant

- CS:GO

- League of Legends

Interested? Apply here

Kind regards

Geir “Godwave” Innvær – Founder of North71.

KippenBro becomes Twitch Partner

When we first contacted Kippen we didnt know what was coming

In 2018 Kippen joined North71 as a streamer, this was back when Fortnite was his main game. When we first got to know Kippen he was playing at a high level in Fortnite holding the #1 slot with most kills in that season. We knew that Kippen had potential and decided to invite him to our streamer team.

After leaving Fortnite Kippen ventured into Runescape, DayZ, and other games in different genres. It wasn't until Kippen picked up Escape from Tarkov that his stream really started popping off. He began growing in the Tarkov community and got to showcase his skills as a tactical FPS player.

During the first half of 2020, KippenBro was averaging around 100 concurrent viewers on Twitch and his follower and subscriber count was rapidly increasing.

The Twitch Partner program has strict rules on who is eligible to apply and is something most small streamers dreams of.

In May 2020 Kippen got accepted to the Twitch Partner program and has since worn the purple twitch badge on his account.

North71 is proud to take part in KippenBro and his community's journey and cant wait to see what the future will bring for the young Norwegian. Check out KippenBro's Twitch and Youtube.

Fragleauge Regional Norway Season 4

We take 3rd place in fragleague season 4!

Fragleague season 4 is now over, and after 9 weeks of playing we end up in 3rd place. With three weeks left of the league, we were sitting in 9th place and far from the podium. With some changes in the team and mentality, the team set into Round 7 to secure their place at the top. And so they did.

"We wanted to finish amongst top 4 and we knew it was gonna be hard. Gamefraym and Playwell was already too far ahead, but we knew we could take on Team Arctic White and The Gatekeepers in the fight for third place" - Ney

The team has been struggling with missing 4th player and decided to use Godwave as a sub for the last three weeks. "I knew it could be done, I was out of shape and didn't provide much mechanics, but tried my best to help with calls and info. I was confident that Ney, Flying, and Kenny could pull it off" - Godwave

The PUBG team will be playing the Gamefraym Summer Cup, starting next week

Telialigaen Season 2 Finals

Not the finals we wanted

The Telia final was played over four different days and featured the 16 best teams in Norway. Going into the finals of Telia we had some roster trouble and didn't really have the highest of hopes. This turned out to be a bigger problem than anticipated. We ended at 14th place and therefor we have to go trough a set of qualifiers to secure 1st division spot for the coming season.

Click the picture above to see final results.

The North71 PUBG team is now facing another set of games to decide if they will stay in the first division of Telialigaen or relegate to second division. The qualifiers will be played on a later date to be announced.

Telialigaen Season 2 Group Stage

The six weeks of Telia group stage is over

After six weeks of Telialigaen North71 has qualified for the finals. With a great start, we surprised everyone and was 4th in the group on the halfway mark, then something changed.

With only three weeks to go, we were sitting comfortably in third place and was feeling confident. In the halfway break the team played a few popup tournaments and got second place in TG:Online and everything was looking great.

Click the picture above to see the final results.

The last three weeks of groups where a rollercoaster and nothing seemed to go our way. We ended up in 5th place and we are playing the finals.

North71 assigns an Academy team

We would like to welcome our newest additions to North71

For a while we have been looking at getting an Academy team. Since both Ney and Nick where casting a lobby in 3rd division, we saw this as a opportunity to find someone who would fit. We were searching for a newly started team who we could easily see the potential in. Therefor we have decided to pick up the old "Operation Archery E-sports" roster. The newly formed North71 Academy team will undergo alot of training ahead of Telialigaens next season.

EDIT: We would also like to include a TwitLonger explaining the situation that escalated only minuttes after the original announcement.

North71 releases NickTheG

An update

This is a directly copy the tweet

As most of you know we have decided to part ways with our player NickTheG.

It's sad to see such a great player go, but sometimes the synergy isn't really there. We wish you the best of luck going forward and believe you can achieve great things in the PUBG scene! GGs brother

We also want to take the time to formally apologies for the way we handled this situation. No player should be treated this way and it's not the North71 way. That being said we are learning from our mistakes. Nick was a great sport and helped us out regardless.

Thank you!

We will not comment further on this situation.
